      Crane Operator

      We are currently is seeking a Crane Operator who is responsible for operating hydraulic cranes with various types of controls in lifting, moving, positioning and repositioning and heavy loads.

      Responsible for:

      • Operates crane to raise and lower load line in response to signals.
      • Inspects and lubricates cables, pulleys, guides, and drums.
      • Inspects equipment for deficiencies, such as tires, lights, brakes, fuses, and fluid levels and submits report indicating equipment condition.
      • Understands stakes and guidelines on ground or positions equipment following hand signals of assistant.
      • Operates hand wheels, levers, and depresses pedals to drive machines and control attachments.
      • Watches gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure the machine is working properly.
      • Determines the causes of operating errors and decides what to do about it.
      • Maintains safe operating conditions to protect people and property from injury.

      Work Qualifications:

      • Knowledge of rigging and load limits.
      • Must be able to operate Hydraulic and Friction Cranes.
      • Knowledge of crane signals given by assistant.
      • Judges distances and slopes accurately.
      • Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
      • Knowledge of materials, methods, and tools involved in the construction or repair of structures, highways, or roads.
      • Knowledge of materials, production processes, and quality control.
      • Prioritizes work to meet goals or deadlines.
      • Takes pride in craftsmanship.
      • Prioritizes work to meet goals or deadlines.
      • Works within precise standards of accuracy.

      Education & Work Experience Requirements:

      • Class “A” Commercial Driver’s License, w/ No Air Brake Restriction,
      • Possess an NCCCO Crane Certification or comparable, AND,
      • Five (5) years’ experience in crane operation for construction.
